This post is a bit different from what you’re used to reading from us. Well… we’re still going to be trying something new, so that’s why we said a bit! As you all know, we love supporting the community as much as we like trying new things to share with you. This time, we’ll be working out at one of the busiest intersections in the city to raise funds.
Let’s set the stage for you, shall we?
Chris volunteered at Canadian Women’s Foundation Move For Hope last year (hosted by CityTV’s Cityline host Tracy Moore), and was SO moved by the entire experience that this year we created our own team and will be participating. Move For Hope is geared towards raising funds to support women and children who have suffered at the hands of domestic violence. People (individual or in teams) gather at Yonge-Dundas Square and work out for one hour with representatives from GoodLife fitness. What moved Chris the most was that it didn’t matter how cold, windy and rainy it was that day (and BOY was it ever!), people still came to support an important cause…. On top of that, they REALLY enjoyed themselves!
So on Saturday April 12th your girls Chris & Ash along with a couple of our amazing friends, will be joining in this amazing activity at Yonge-Dundas Square (downtown Toronto) and this is where YOU come in! If you have been moved by this post and Canadian Women’s Foundation’s mission, and would like to make a donation towards TNL’s efforts, please click this link. Please know that ANY amount you donate would be MORE than appreciated. And even if you can’t donate, we thank you so much for taking the time to check out this post. Please be sure to visit their site to find out about any other upcoming events.
Stay tuned for our update after the event!
