If you follow us on Instagram, then you’ve definitely seen our Cuba pics. After spending the first part of the year talking about a TNL getaway, we finally got around to booking some time in Cayo Santa Maria, where we spent 6 days at Memories Paraiso Azul Beach Resort .
This was Chris’ first visit whereas Ash had been to Cuba a few times in previous years, so we can’t even begin to describe our levels of excitement. Who doesn’t love a nice, hot vacation? Just look at these tans! Chris was shades darker after just 1 day.
We had a WONDERFUL time and would definitely return. We could go on and on about the time we had – from staff to entertainment, the sights and of course THE BEACH – but we figured we’d just show you.
We should also mention that we visited in the “low season” (summertime) so the resort was not nearly as busy as it could have been. We loved that, it really highlighted the chilled time we had.
Buffet – The food was surprisingly good and we can’t tell you how many crepes we consumed in those 6 days!
A la carte restaurant Tesico – we won dinner for 2 at the a la carte the first day we arrived. What a lovely welcome.
Village – we were fortunate enough to be in the bungalow closest to the village, where there was a market for get all of our souvenirs, gym, restaurants, bank, bowling alley and disco.
The Beach – just steps from the resort. We couldn’t get enough of it! That water was absolute heaven.
We booked a tour to visit Trinidad de Cuba and there also a couple stops before we got there. We love the feel of stepping into a time capsule when we look at the modes of transportation.
Of course we could have shared SO many more pictures, but we’re sure you get the idea. And what’s that, you ask? Oh you know… we can’t WAIT to return!
